The Blue Lagoon — a catamaran for observing Djerba's dolphins
The Blue Lagoon is a modern 25-passenger catamaran departing from Djerba Menzel Hotel. Its double hull guarantees exceptional stability — even seasickness-prone passengers enjoy it peacefully. The 25-passenger capacity (minimum 10 for departure) creates a far more intimate lounge atmosphere than typical tourist pirate boats.
The dolphin & swimming program — 2 rhythmic hours
Early morning departure at 08:30 (calmest waters, more active dolphins) or early afternoon at 13:30 (ideal for families with children). After the safety briefing, the Blue Lagoon heads out to the regular dolphin habitat zones the skipper knows well. Once dolphins are spotted, we slow down and observe from deck. Then comes the swimming break in a turquoise cove. Return to port in calm sailing.
Why a catamaran (not a speedboat)?
The speedboat is faster but much more jolting — the catamaran offers a stable platform, flat deck for children, a proper shaded cabin and the ability to sail (no noise, no diesel) on certain stretches. It's the premium family option in Djerba.

Adults: €40 · Children 3 to 7 years: €20 (50%) · Babies 0 to 2 years: free. Family rule: from 4 people including 2 children, the 2nd child is free. Hotel transfers round-trip included throughout Djerba's tourist zone.
