🎣 A genuine fishing trip, not a tourist attraction

This fishing excursion at Djerba is led by an experienced captain who knows the currents, seabed and fish-rich zones around the island. Departure is from a nautical base, with return transfers included from your hotel (no need to hire a car).

⛵ 3 options to suit your group

  • 🟦 Private charter — €250/boat (3h)
Up to 4 anglers + 2 companions (max 4 lines to avoid tangling). You have the boat to yourself, you choose the pace, stops and zones. Perfect for families or groups of friends.
  • 🟢 Shared boat — €95/person (3h)
You board with other anglers who've booked the same date. Budget-friendly, sociable, the atmosphere depends on fellow guests. You can also leave your contact below so we notify you as soon as another client books your date — we try to fill the boat.
  • 🟠 Small boat 2h — €75/person (min 2 people)
Short format, lighter vessel. Perfect for a quick introduction or a test run before a full day.

🎒 What's included on board

Complete fishing equipment (rods, lines, hooks suited to the area), fresh bait of the day (fresh sardines, squid, worms depending on season), fresh water, juice, seasonal fruit when available, safety jackets to standard, technical briefing. The captain handles fuel and navigation.

🏊 Swimming break available

Weather and time permitting, a swimming break can be arranged in a sheltered cove halfway through. Let us know at booking so we can plan the stop.

📅 Weather-dependent activity

Fishing depends on wind, currents and swell. We monitor real-time weather via Météo France and INM Tunisia. If conditions don't permit a safe outing, we offer a free rescheduling or full refund. For private charters, we actively advise you on the best date of your stay based on forecasts.

💡 Top tip: check the 7-day weather forecast displayed further down this page to choose the best slot of your stay.

💳 Payment & cancellation

No deposit required. Payment is made on the day to the captain (cash €/TND, card or bank transfer). Free cancellation up to 24 hours before (otherwise if weather worsens, rescheduling or refund applies). We keep you informed throughout your stay of weather updates and availability if you're waiting to share a boat.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between private charter, shared and small boat?
Private charter 250 €/boat (3 hours): you have the boat to yourselves with your group (up to 4 anglers + 2 guests). Captain and boat are yours, you choose the stops. Shared boat 95 €/person (3 hours): you board with other anglers who've booked the same date — economical and friendly. Small boat 75 €/person (2 hours, min 2 people): lighter vessel, short format for a taster experience.
Why a maximum of 4 lines on a boat?
Beyond 4 simultaneous lines, lines get tangled constantly and the trip becomes unpleasant. That's why we limit to 4 active anglers (the 2 guests can enjoy the boat without fishing).
Can you share a boat if you're alone or a couple?
Yes! You can leave your details in the dedicated form (further down on this page) with dates that suit you during your stay. We'll send you a message as soon as another client books the same date — you pay 95 €/person instead of 250 €/boat. We manage the calendar to optimise pairings.
Is there a risk the trip will be cancelled due to weather?
Yes, fishing is strictly weather-dependent (wind <20 knots, swell <1.5 m). We monitor Météo France & INM Tunisia forecasts. If conditions aren't met, we offer free rescheduling to another date during your stay or full refund. 7-day forecasts are displayed below to help you choose.
What if I want to charter privately and choose the best date?
We actively recommend the best date of your stay based on weather forecasts. WhatsApp +216 24 099 888 as soon as you book to set the optimal day.
How is payment handled?
No advance payment required. You pay on the day directly to the captain: cash (€ or TND), card or bank transfer. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
From what age can children fish?
From 6 years old with a parent. Reduced rate -50% for 6-11 year-olds (on shared and private options). Adapted life jacket provided.
Do you need prior experience?
No. The captain teaches you the techniques (heavy line, paternoster, trolling). Suitable for beginners and experienced anglers alike.
Is lunch included?
No, just drinks (water, juice) and seasonal fruit if available. You can bring your own snacks or ask us at booking about a packed lunch to arrange (optional, paid separately).
Can you take a swimming break?
Yes, on request to the captain and if conditions allow. Remember to bring your swimsuit and towel.
What can you catch around Djerba?
Depending on season: sea bream, gilt-head bream, grouper, royal gilt-head bream, dentex, pandora, squid. Big game fishing (tuna, swordfish) requires a special full-day trip — ask us for a quote.
What's the best season?
April to November overall. Summer (June-September) = surface fish, warm waters. Spring/autumn (April-May, October-November) = more productive bottom fishing, calmer waters. Winter possible but weather more unpredictable.
