The Blue Lagoon — a catamaran for dolphin watching in Djerba
The Blue Lagoon is a modern catamaran with a maximum capacity of 25 people, departing from the Djerba Menzel Hotel. Its twin hull guarantees exceptional stability — even passengers prone to seasickness enjoy the experience peacefully. The limited capacity of 25 people (with a minimum of 10 for departure) creates a far more intimate lounge atmosphere than the large tourist pirate boats.
The dolphins & swimming programme — 2 hours of adventure
Early morning departure at 08:30 (calmest waters, most active dolphins) or early afternoon at 13:30 (ideal for families with children). After the safety briefing, the Blue Lagoon sets sail towards the areas where dolphins are regularly spotted, which the skipper knows well. Once dolphins are sighted, the boat slows down for observation from the deck. Next comes the swimming break in a turquoise cove. Return to port with a peaceful sail.
Why a catamaran (and not a speedboat)?
The speedboat is faster but considerably more bumpy — the catamaran offers a stable platform, a flat deck for children, a proper shaded cabin and the possibility of sailing (silent, diesel-free) over certain sections. It's the premium family option in Djerba.

purtroppo non siamo riusciti a vedere i delfini, certo sappiamo che questo non è colpa dell’equipaggio, ma rimane un peccato. le guide sono state sempre gentili, ma non molto coinvolgenti, non ci hanno raccontato nulla del posto. nel trasporto non c’era l’aria condizionata. sfortunatamente l’acqua era di un verde schifoso, ovviamente anche questo, così come i delfini, non è colpa dell’equipaggio, sarà stata una settimana sfortunata per noi. per il resto struttura del catamarano carina e bevande a bordo sempre fresche, nel complesso un giro piacevole, consigliato se si vuole passare una mattinata rilassata

Leider haben wir keine Delfine gesehen. Die Fahrt war angenehm, jedoch natürlich haben wir uns auf Delfine eingestellt. Am Ende durfte man schwimmen. Die Guides haben nicht besonders viel zu der Tour erzählt oder beigetragen, weshalb das Verhältnis eher semi war. Abholung verlief gut.

Wycieczkę odbyłyśmy 02.09.2026r. Pomijając drobny szczegół, że miałyśmy wypłynąć w godzinach popołudniowych a kierowca był po nas po 10-tej mimo to i tak było super. transport z/do hotelu bez zarzutu. Rejs przyjemny w niewielkiej grupie. Widziałyśmy delfiny, był krótki postój na kąpiel w morzu. Napoje były dostępne. Polecamy bardzo w ramach zrobienia czegoś więcej niż siedzenie w hotelowym basenie.

Nous avons eu la chance de voir les dauphins c'était exceptionnel..Personnel incroyable avec le sourire ,bonne ambiance générale.. vraiment n'hésitez pas à faire cette activité,vous en prendrez pleins les yeux..Sur le retour au moment de la pause baignade il faudrait mettre un peu de musique histoire de se mettre dans l'ambiance baignade jusqu'au ponton ..Merciiii pour cette incroyable activité 😊

J’ai fait cette activité en solo, nous étions un petit groupe (3 personnes) On est venu me chercher à mon hôtel à l’heure donnée. Les personnes à bord du bateau étaient très gentils. Transport na miejsce na czas i wygodnym busem, załoga czekała na miejscu na katamaranie. Atmosfera i wrażenia na najwyższym poziomie. Załoga bardzo dobrze dbała o uczestników. Udało nam się zobaczyć bardzo dużo delfinów, które zrobiły show 😉
