The Blue Lagoon — a sunset over the Mediterranean
The Blue Lagoon is a modern catamaran with a maximum capacity of 25 passengers, departing from the Djerba Menzel Hotel. The south-east coast of Djerba faces due west: the sun descends straight into the sea, the light shifts from white to gold, then pink and violet — an hour of pure photographic magic.
The sunset programme — 2 hours to savour
Departure approximately 1 hour 45 minutes before sunset (timing varies by season — we will confirm at booking). Cast off, gentle navigation towards the optimal zone. Swimming break in water still warmed by the day's heat. Back on deck as the sky begins to ignite, refreshing drinks served, slow navigation facing the sun. Return to port at nightfall.
Why the catamaran and not another boat?
The catamaran's twin hulls offer a completely stable platform — perfect for sharp photos. The front deck features hammocks/nets: it's THE ideal spot to experience the sunset lying down. Deliberately intimate lounge atmosphere, a world away from large, loud party boats.
