Cultural Visits to Djerba

Djerba has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2023 — a richly deserved recognition given the island's concentration of cultural treasures: medina of Houmt Souk with its fondouks transformed into hotels, La Ghriba Synagogue (one of the oldest in the world, 6th century), Guellala pottery village, Guellala, underground oil mills carved into the rock, white mosques scattered throughout the countryside.
